I Am Now Writing for Examiner.com
Hello boys & girls,Â
I've been neglecting this blog a bit. Â Besides currently being in South Africa, I've now begun cheating on this blog and writing as the Boston Internet Examiner for Examiner.com. Â The site has grown tremendously and is a great source of information on all subjects - especially local to you. Â
The articles are rather short and to the point but cover on subjects that are a bit more factual as opposed to opinion. Â This blog is reserved for my rants and opinions. Â Â
Go and check out the articles! Â I began writing them this week... Click HereÂ
Enjoy!
SummerMash Boston – A Hit!

Ok this is my poor neglected blog. Again, I don't have too much of a focus with this thing as I started it before I truly got into marketing, but it is existent and while it still has the wordpress.com within the URL, it's my little mark on the blogosphere that is unrelated to work. I'll most likely put more time into this blog and personalize it and update it later on but for now - I've got bigger things to focus on!
I just wanted to do a brief write up of an event I attended here in Boston that was hosted by Mashable and was part of the SummerMash '08 tour. It was a great event and not only did I connect with some brilliant souls but I even got a bit frisky with the TripAdvisor.com Owl.... (he was quite the ladies'... animal).
Pete Cashmore was not only fun to look at (he looks like someone who would be on your television screen in a heartbeat) but he is quite personable! His right hand woman Karen Hartline was also an absolute blast to talk to as she reminds me of someone I'd hang out with outside of an event like this -- her sense of humor and wit is fabulous. The event went over smoothly with awesome companies like Mzinga who represented themselves nicely with their own booths as well as a kick ass photographer, reasonable music and plenty of flowing drinks. Chris Brogan stopped by and while endless people were pitching the poor guy, he remained kind to everyone and went out of his way to introduce me to others he knew. I connected with a vast amount of people and really put my feelers out there. It was nice to go to an event where everyone had the same interests (as I am used to going to events where a guy's main prerogative is to get laid).
I was pretty pissed to see that while I brought my camera, I left the memory card in my laptop so here are a few not-so-stellar quality photos I took with my Blackberry at the event...

Looking forward to seeing the professional ones come on Flickr! Check out www.Mashable.com - It's truly one of the best sources of Social Media news on the web. Kudos for putting on an awesome event! Looking forward to next year!
