Terrorism Influx
It seems rather unusual now to pick up a newspaper and not see an article stating the various suicide bombings that have occurred the day prior, or list the multiple deaths in Iraq due to some form of terrorist violence. We as Americans have become somewhat desensitized by such actions and no longer view them to be surprising. Those in large cities such as Boston and New York oftentimes live in fear, just waiting for another terrorism encore to the September 11th events.
It is a sad world to live in when you have to look at a man of Arab decent next to you, and worry if he is a walking bomb.
I for one, am guilty of doing exactly that. On October 6, 2005 - I was terrified riding the New York subway, as was most of the city's residents were. The New York Police Department and FBI were investigating a "credible" tip that 19 operatives had been deployed to the city to place bombs in the subway, and security in the subways had been increased.
I sat there on the F train on my way to work, and looked at this poor Arab man who sat there straight-faced with a backpack on. I sat and wondered, could this man be one of them? What is in that backpack? Thought's consumed my mind and I honestly wondered if that was my last day on earth. Paranoia sweeped my mind unlike ever before, and let's just say it wasn't a good feeling.
This world is seemingly becoming worse on a daily basis when it comes to war and terror. What a sad day it is, when you are forced to throw away a mere bottle of face wash before boarding a plane simply because it may be a key ingredient in what could be a potentially deadly explosive. To know that yet another plane attack was to be headed towards the east coast to incur extensive damage once again, baffles me. When will this end? Have we awakened a desire and anger in the Middle east forever? Will this "war" last as long as the Isreali's and Palestinians? Will the future America (if there even is one), also be dealing with monthly terrorist scares? What kind of world is this?
Since when did we have a color coded terror alert? Homeland Security was never existent prior to 2002, and was created after the attacks. It is now apparently one of the most important parts of the government.
This "war on terror" is going to make things worse. How? Little children who see their family members dying around them, even if the murderers are other Iraqi's...how will they know? We are instilling absolute hatred into the Iraq youth. They are constantly beraded with false propaganda that the United States is the enemy, and now more than ever - they will see it to be true. This means they will grow up angry, and grow up with bad intentions. Intentions to murder us and stop us. This pretty much means, that this war will continue to rumble even even more 20 years
from now.
There's not much we can do as of now to stop this. We've already lost our brothers, friends, fathers, husbands and more out in Iraq. To pull out now, would be an insult to their deaths. However, there has to be a better way to go about this.
The soldiers who have died thus far in Iraq have not died for our country, but for the country of Iraq. We are attempting to instill democracy in a country that does not want democracy. It would be one thing if a country was attacking us, and we were fighting back and losing men, however we are losing men for a reason that simply isn't good enough, at least not for me.
Stop the hate. Stop the terror. Educate the Iraqi's. It's the only way.
Rest In Peace - John D. Amos II

The problem with most liberals is not that they are dumb, don’t get me wrong, they just know so much about stuff that isn’t so.
I find it nauseating the on Bill Maher he actually thinks DL Hughley or other celebrities are qualifed to comment on matters of national security. He is a comedian. Lets leave national security to the people who hae been eating, breathing and sleeping it for 20 – 40 years. They are entitled to their opinions but their opinions should never effect policy. These celebrities like most Left wing, liberal Democrats go by what they feel is right and not by they know is right. There is a big difference and a huge risk involved with the former. When your life is what’s at stake, this risk is not worhty of being taken and that is why Bush won. I am not a big fan of Bush but if the other choice was Kerry or Gore, he got my vote since he was the lesser of 2 evils in both cases.
Under Saddam, Iraq did not just drop nerve gas on their own civilians, the Kurds in the North, did not just invade Kuwait and murder and rape scores of people in an effort to annex their country, did not just kidnap and rape scores of their own teenage women right off the streets but most importantly, under Saddam Hussein, 800,000 people disappeared. That’s right 800,000 people just disappeared. Like in Cambodia where under the Khmer Rouge 10,000,000 disappeared most of which did so with a bullet in the head or with a plastic bag over their head to suffocate them so they didn’t waste a bullet.
Saddam hired German scientists, the first to be convicted of High Treason in a German court since World War II for giving/selling the technology to creat nulear weapons for the specific purpose of developing a nuclear bomb which he would “deliver onto the American forces in the middle east”. It was a documentary on Nova or National Geographic where the scientists were interviewed and they said on camera “We knew we were dealing with a madman when he came to us one day and said ‘I want you to develop a nuclear warhead which I can deliver onto the American forces in the middle east’.” So it is not a matter of WMD and finding them or not, it was and is a matter of stopping a violent, homicidal madman from developing WMD’s or worse, nuclear weapons, which he would not hesitate to use on the Western world, namely us.
If we did not go into Iraq or if we were to leave right now 100,000′s of thousands of people would be killed, maybe millions. The Shiites hate the Sunnis and the Sunnis hate the Shiites. Unless a government is installed with a strong army and police to create law and order this is what awaits Iraq and worse.
Those 10,000,000 died in Southeast Asia in Vietnam and Cambodia because the Democrats were not willing to do what was necessary to stop the communists from taking over. So they pulled out when they should have tripled the forces there and increased the attacks on the communist the who changed the way people thought by executing them. 10,000,000 of them. See the movie “The Killing Fields”, with Sam Waterston, if reading up on this is not your cup of tea.
Lets not even get into the former Yugoslavia and Clinton’s inaction there which led to a million people being exterminated. One of the greatest catalysts in recent times for Muslim hatred of the West was Clinton’s inaction during the genocide in the former Yugoslavia where over a million Muslims were exterminated by the Serbs, etc.
Do not believe the media. They are biased towards the Democratic, liberal left and when the entire world of Muslim extremists is at war with the rest of the world, not all Muslims, but the extremists mind you, one has to do the right thing.
The media lies, the Democratic politicians lie because there is a Republican president and the celebrities and entertainers in Hollywood and elsewhere lie and or are ignorant and are using this as a platform to sell records or movies or simply make themselves popular.
I would like nothing more than peace throughout the world but there are too many people who do not share the same values and all they understand is violence and so they must be ruled with superior force to protect the innocent. It’s not that anybody, the president or anyone else wants anyone to die, especially American boys but unfortunately the price of freedom is measured in blood because these violent, militant people do not understand nor do they chose any path other than violence.
Just like this saying so goes for Israel and the entire militant part of the Muslim Arab world so it goes for all of the Western world:
If the Arabs put down their weapons tomorrow, we would have peace.
If Israel put down their weapons tomorrow, there would be no Israel.
As far as the US is concerned: With great power comes great responsibility and if you have the power to stop something wrong from happening then you have the responsibility to do so.
Something Bill Clinton and other Democrats just don’t seem to understand.I.E. Viet Nam, Yugoslavia, etc.
The soldiers of our country have died for our country and for Iraq and for every country in the world that believes in freedom and democracy.
